Gitanjali J Angmo is the wife of renowned activist, environmentalist, and innovator Sonam Wangchuk. She has approached the Supreme Court of India. She is challenging his detention under the National Security Act (NSA).
The petition, filed through advocate Sarvam Ritam Khare on October 2, seeks judicial intervention against the preventive detention order.
At present, it remains uncertain when the matter will be listed for hearing. The apex court is closed this week for Dussehra vacation.

Wangchuk was arrested on September 26 in Ladakh. This happened after protests and incidents of violence. The violence was related to the demand for statehood for the Union Territory. He is currently lodged in a Jodhpur jail under NSA detention.
